Year 3/4

Welcome to Year 3&4. Our Class teacher is Miss Blake and our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Graham and Mrs Bainbridge.

Our topic this term is WW2!

On Friday we visited the Solway Aviation Museum. We looked at lots of memorabilia from the war, and even got to go inside a vulcan plane!

Today we have been performing poetry outside! We thought of a success criteria to ensure our performances were great, and then performed 'The School Kids Rap'.

We have been learning about Anderson Shelters and created our own using junk modelling. We think they look fab!

During our art lessons, we sketched a soldier from the war and added a camouflage collage background. We think they look great!

We had lots of fun making and playing our own pairs game in literacy using the different tenses.

Take a look at our fantastic entries for the Easter egg competition!

Last Thursday, we visited Caldew School and took part in a football festival. We had a great time and learnt some new skills!

On Friday, we took part in the uDance at The Sands Centre. Together with Miss Blake, we have choreographed a dance based on the topic of Vikings. We worked extremely hard and Miss Blake was so proud of us all!

In Topic, we have been investigating the strength of a bridge and discovering how the difference in span length can affect it!

We enjoyed dressing up as our favourite book characters on World Book Day! Take a look at our wonderful costumes.

This half term our topic has been Mountains. We have worked very hard looking at mountains all around the world and have discovered different mountain ranges and the highest peaks. We enjoyed a visit from Mountain Rescue to finish our topic off.

Next half term we will be looking at rivers.
